Affordable Elegance for EVERYONE! Sheldon Hill is downtown Ithaca’s connection to unique vintage & estate jewelry that is both affordable and portable for the downtown lifestyle. Sheldon Hill supports reuse and sustainability by selling only antique and vintage items that were well made and have already proven they can stand the test of time! Who's Behind Sheldon Hill? Both Sheldon Hill and its parent company, Ithaca Antique Center, are owned and operated by Stacey K. Payette. Payette started selling antiques in 1995 while residing in Oneonta, NY. She began specializing in antique & vintage jewelry after the birth of her daughter in 1997. The name Sheldon Hill has special significance to Payette. In 1963 her grandparents, Fred and Estelle Gabrielsen, built a small house in the Catskill region of NY. It was a magical place for Payette during her youth and she passed many summers of peace and friendship there. The house was on Sheldon Hill Road. Payette honors the memory of her grandparents and her beloved summer escape with her chosen business name. Payette has owned the multi-dealer Ithaca Antique Center since November 2005 and is delighted to have a downtown vintage boutique to compliment the larger store. Payette holds a BA in Political Science, a MA in American History, and is permanently certified to teach secondary Social Studies in NY. She taught Economics, Business Law, and Global Studies at Ithaca High School from 2000-2006. Location: 128 E.
